Program Director

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Director to lead an Adult Day Care program located in Staten Island, NY.

Position Summary:
The Program Director will oversee a comprehensive Adult Day Care program dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centered services grounded in the social model of care. This leadership role is responsible for fostering a supportive and engaging environment that promotes social interaction, well-being, and independence for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee programs that promote social engagement and community involvement.

  • Monitor program performance and implement data-driven improvements.

  • Establish and maintain policies consistent with the social model of care.

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise staff, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and coordinate ongoing staff training.

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and families.

  • Represent the program at external meetings and community events.

  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation to ensure program sustainability.

  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants.

  • Analyze program data and prepare reports to support strategic planning.

  • Advocate for participant needs within the broader community and healthcare system.

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in adult day care services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field preferred.

  • Prior experience managing programs in adult day care or social services preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the social model of care and applicable regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with data management and reporting tools.
