Specification Sales Manager
We are recruiting for a client who, following a major recent investment, is looking for a technical expert to lead a newly created division. This is a "blank page" opportunity: you will have the freedom to build the specification strategy from the ground up, placing structural products at the centre of UK house design for this £40m manufacturer.
The Role: Technical Influence & Design
This is a senior technical role focused on the design stage of housing projects. You will be influential in changing how the industry builds.
Strategic Specification: Get the client's products included in the standard designs of National Housebuilders and Engineering firms. Industry Voice: Lead technical CPD sessions and Roundtables with key groups, including the NHBC, Homebond, and major architects. Design Support: Act as the technical link between R&D and design teams, making sure new products solve real-world building problems. Market Research: Look for "pain points" on-site and in design offices to find new business opportunities.The Professional Profile
We are looking for someone with deep experience in the residential design world who is as comfortable with a technical drawing as they are in a meeting with directors.
Technical Knowledge: You have a clear understanding of house design, building methods, and how decisions are made during the design stage. Industry Contacts: You already know the key decision-makers within National Housebuilders and Architectural firms. Clear Communicator: You are confident giving technical presentations and leading discussions with industry bodies like the NHBC. Proactive Approach: You are excited by a new role where you can set the strategy and help a £40m business grow.Why This Role?
