Miller Brother Staffing in Lancaster, PA has the immediate need of an experienced QA Technician for 1st shift. (Must have Food production QA related experience.)
Pay Rate -
$19.00/hour Shift: 1 st shift: Monday -Friday 7am-3:30pm 3 most important things:

Performs all in process and finished product quality control tests at assigned plant location and keeps appropriate management personnel informed of quality issues. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Maintains documentation of all tests and special projects in specified locations. Communicates directly with all appropriate associates regarding test results and corrective actions as needed. Keeps Quality Assurance Supervisor informed of all quality issues. Performs one or more of the following tests at one or more of the Utz manufacturing plants. o Moisture (via direct and/or indirect methods) o Salt/sodium/potassium using the Dicromat, Omnion or silver titration o Oil via near infrared methods o Free fatty acids via direct and auto titrations o Caustic cooker titrations o Wheat flour analysis o Slice thickness o Count per pound o Product specific defect levels o Product breakage o Package net weight o Package seal integrity o Residual oxygen in packages
Adheres to a specific frequency of product testing. The test schedule can vary pending specific quality issues that may arise. Keeps laboratory, equipment and supplies clean and organized. Provide technical guidance to Packers or other Utz Associates that provide support during various times of the year. Maintains an ongoing log of incoming raw materials identifying supplier, product identification, date received, supplier lot number, and approval vs. COA. Ingredient suppliers and lot numbers shall be recorded on appropriate daily Q.C. finished product inspection forms. Assists in in-house associate surveys to help guide the development of product improvements/new products and ingredient cost reduction projects. Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position. Requirements:
Must be able to show up to work when schedule Must have high school diploma or equivalent Good working knowledge of basic mathematics Able to read, write, speak, and understand sufficient English to communicate with supervisors and co-workers. Must be safety conscious and accurate in working in lab environment during the preparation of chemical solutions and test samples. Mechanical aptitude/knowledge helpful. Good organizational and communication skills required; must be able to work with all levels of associates. Basic computer skills helpful for inputting and summarizing quality control data. Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment. Must follow all GMP Must have good hand/eye coordination Physical Demands:
Must be able to squat, bend, twist, kneel, and stand for duration of shift.
