Job Title: Assembler
Salary : $18.00 +
Shift: 1 st Shift, M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm
Summary: General Assembly duties may include building/finishing our amazing in-house products as well as components of those from many of our clients. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, machines such as forklifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute daily work instructions received from shop manager/supervisor in a timely manner
- Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt, and set out or put away tools
- Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
- Building and/or finishing a variety of in-house products utilizing hand and power tools
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Math Skills: Basic math skills
- Familiar with the function of hand tools related to grinding/deburring materials
- Good attention to detail and self-motivated
- Accurately read a tape measure and micrometer
- Able to work independently through given instruction or as an active member of a team
- Manual dexterity to use hand held tools and shop machines
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in general labor/manufacturing and/or metal fabrication preferred
- Ability to understand blueprints documents
- Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment; preferred in JobBOSS
- Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
