We are currently seeking a *Part-Time/Adjunct Electrical Technician Instructor* to join our skilled trades faculty.
If you are an experienced electrician with a passion for mentoring and giving back to the trade, this is an excellent opportunity to transition your field expertise into a rewarding teaching role.
*Program Overview:*
The Electrical Technician program introduces students to foundational concepts in residential and commercial wiring. With a strong emphasis on safety and code compliance, students gain hands-on experience installing circuits, switches, conductors, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum five (5) years of professional electrical field experience required
* Demonstrated expertise in:
* Residential and commercial wiring;
* Code compliance and safety standards;
* Hands-on installation practices;
* Ability to effectively demonstrate electrical theory and practical application.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to student success and workforce readiness.
* Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), database software, Google docs, and use of internet.
* Must be punctual, responsible, organized, ethical and a team player.
* Excellent multi-tasking and communication (written and verbal) skills is required.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Must be professional and maintain confidentiality of employee information and campus records.
* Must be flexible to work earlier or later shifts or weekends as needed.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Prepare and deliver lecture and hands-on laboratory instruction aligned with the approved curriculum.
* Follow established course outlines, objectives, and evaluation standards.
* Develop and maintain daily lesson plans and instructional documentation.
* Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
* Grade assignments and provide feedback within 48 hours.
* Provide academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
* Advise students regarding academic performance and institutional policies.
* Maintain communication with academic leadership (Lead Instructor, Program Chair, Academic Dean, or Campus President).
* Monitor laboratory equipment, tools, and supply inventory.
* Secure instructional materials and supplies as needed.
* Participate in professional development to maintain accreditation standards, including required AHED online training and Foundations of Teaching modules.
* Substitute for other instructors when necessary.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

*Pay:* $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
