Job Description The Quality Assurance Testers play critical roles in protecting Sarnova’s operational reliability and customer trust. By preventing defects before they reach production, these roles reduce rework and downtime, accelerate delivery cycles, and safeguard data integrity across mission‑critical systems.

As an authorized master distributor of all FDA‑approved defibrillator devices, the company provides customers the best‑in‑class value for new and recertified equipment. Customers’ emergency preparedness needs are met via Cardio Partners’ nationwide CPR training courses and state‑of‑the‑art program management services.
For Non‑Central Ohio based candidates this is a remote opportunity. Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to work EST hours. Candidates who require visa sponsorship/transfer now or in the future cannot be considered.
Summary The Quality Assurance Testers ensure Sarnova’s applications, web platforms, and integrations meet defined business and technical requirements, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, security, and user experience. You will design and execute manual and automated test plans for web and API applications, validate functionality, collaborate with developers and product teams, and help maintain quality standards across the software development lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Translate business and technical requirements into clear test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria (functional, regression, integration, web UI, API, and user acceptance)
Execute manual and automated web application test suites; document results, defects, and remediation steps with clarity and completeness
Identify, triage, and track defects; collaborate with developers and product owners to reproduce issues, set severity/priority, and verify fixes
Build and maintain basic automated test scripts/frameworks for web UI regression and API testing; recommend automation candidates based on ROI
Prepare test data; validate environment readiness; support configuration and release validation across dev/test/stage/production
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand‑ups; advocate for testability, quality gates, and risk‑based testing
Maintain test artifacts, traceability matrices, and release notes; contribute to QA standards and SOPs
Track and report key quality indicators (defect density, escaped defects, test coverage, cycle time); recommend improvements
Coordinate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders; capture feedback and ensure sign‑off criteria are met
Validate adherence to security, data privacy, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA‑adjacent considerations where applicable)
Skills/Experience Required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field required
2–4 years of QA experience in software/application testing within IT or product teams
Hands‑on experience authoring and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reports
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST/JSON), basic SQL for data validation, and browser/dev tools for UI validation
Experience testing of physical IoT products preferred
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, Azure Test Plans)
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to partner across functions
Experience in healthcare, medical distribution, or regulated environments preferred but not required
