* Continuously track competitor products, capabilities, and market positioning to ensure the power electronics portfolio remains competitive in performance, cost, reliability, and compliance; incorporate insights into product roadmap and positioning decisions.
* Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends (e.g., power semiconductors, control techniques, thermal solutions, manufacturing processes) and assess their applicability to current and future product offerings.
Customer & Market Engagement
* Act as a primary interface with customers, including defense primes, integrators, and industrial OEMs.
* Gather, analyze, and translate customer and program requirements into clear product and engineering requirements.
* Support sales efforts by participating in customer meetings, technical reviews, trade shows, and industry events.
* Identify new market opportunities and contribute to pipeline growth through customer engagement and market analysis.
Technical & Program Leadership
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams on architecture trade-offs, feature prioritization, and technical feasibility.
* Participate in or lead technical program management activities, including schedule, risk, cost, operations and supply chain management.
* Ensure products meet performance, quality, compliance, and reliability requirements, including defense-specific standards where applicable.
* Own and support contract execution and compliance, ensuring product development and delivery align with contractual requirements, technical scope, schedules, deliverables, and applicable regulatory standards; identify and manage scope changes, risks, and contractual impacts in coordination with contract management, legal, and business leadership.
Business Development & Contract Support
* Lead or contribute to technical proposal development, including requirements responses, compliance matrices, and technical volumes.
* Support pricing strategies, cost models, and margin analysis.
* Participate in customer negotiations and help drive contract awards to closure.
* Support bid/no-bid decisions with technical, market, and financial input.
*Education, Skills, and Experience:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or technical program management for hardware-based products.
* Hands-on familiarity with electronics, with preference for experience in:
Power electronics
Motor controllers or drives
Embedded or electromechanical systems
* Strong background in B2B product strategy and customer requirements development.
* Proven experience working directly with customers, including technical discussions and commercial support.
* Demonstrated experience developing and executing NPI processes for power electronics.
* Experience in the defense sector, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
* Ability to write clear, compelling technical proposals and customer-facing documentation.
* Comfort working across engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership.
* Willingness to travel for customer visits, industry events, and trade shows.
