À propos
THE ROLE As an Enterprise Software Architect, you will provide technical leadership in GPU architecture and production software stacks enablement that cover Data Center & Edge AI and Gaming for next‑generation GPU products. This software architect's role is to pull in all aspects of software from applications to AI models, to open ecosystem frameworks, to enterprise application suites, to kubernetes orchestration, and to RoCm libraries tools compilers and runtimes, and create software architecture plan of record together during the next cutting edge GPU architecture definition time. Provide Software architectural vision to improve Enterprise adoption for discrete GPU from a manageability and telemetry perspective via industry standard manageability tools (e.g. iDRAC, iLO, IPMI).
You will serve as a bridging authority between software architecture and the hardware architecture and hardware ecosystem, ensuring that architectural intent translates into working, performant, and scalable solutions for partnerships established with software library teams.
Focused on leading software planning for new GPU products introduction with accountability spanning early architecture definition, pre‑silicon modeling, and software readiness for emerging edge AI platforms and modern gaming systems.
THE PERSON A deeply technical leader who thrives in ambiguous, first‑of‑kind environments. You combine strong architectural intuition with hands‑on experience bringing up complex hardware platforms and enabling software stacks on new silicon.
You are comfortable operating across layers - from architecture tradeoffs and interconnect topology down to firmware, drivers, and performance tooling - and you are trusted to make decisions when data is incomplete. You naturally connect and lead teams through technical credibility, clarifying intent, and reducing friction between hardware and software organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Architecture and Go-to-Market Software readiness Leadership: Provide technical leadership for software architecture and strategy with direct impact on dGPU products. Translate architectural concepts into concrete software requirements spanning firmware, drivers, software libraries, tools, and applications.
Hardware-Software CoDesign: Drive hardware/software interface definition, ensuring architecture choices support and reflect the drive towards performance and quality. Influence firmware, driver, runtime, and performance software design to align with architectural intent.
Early Silicon Enablement: Act as a technical escalation point during early silicon bringup, debugging complex cross‑layer issues spanning hardware, firmware, and software. Guide the creation of diagnostics, validation tools, and bringup workflows that scale across teams and products.
Cross‑Functional Technical Leadership: Work across architecture, design, verification, drivers, performance libraries, and product teams to ensure alignment. Provide technical mentorship and review, raising the overall effectiveness of teams working on new GPU platforms.
Knowledge Capture & Reuse: Capture lessons learned from new product bringup and translate them into reusable architecture patterns, best practices, and documentation.
Leverage AI‑assisted software development tools to accelerate the design, implementation, review, and documentation of complex software libraries. Establish best practices for responsible use of AI assistance, including validation, review, and traceability of generated code and technical artifacts.
PREFERREDEXPERIENCE
Software development experience in systems software, firmware, drivers, or performance software used to enable new silicon. Proven experience in hardware/software codesign, including defining interfaces and debugging cross‑layer issues.
Experience working as a technical leader with deep experience in driving collaborations across cross‑functional engineering teams.
Knowledge and hands‑on experience in Machine Learning, with the ability to successfully create and optimize machine learning models for various applications especially around ML Model Architectures such as CNN, UNet, and so on.
Excellent team management, product management, and organizational skills.
Understands that requirements are rarely perfect and is willing to extract the spirit of the requirement to make the system or software better.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Is willing to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis.
The following experiences are optional but highly desired:
Knowledge and hands‑on experience in Machine Learning, with the ability to successfully create and optimize machine learning models for various applications especially around ML Model Architectures such as transformer, SD, CNN, UNet, and so on.
Graphics architecture experience, with DirectX 12 and/or Vulkan graphics APIs.
Game engine or game rendering framework experience.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS Advanced degrees, such as M.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D. are preferred.
LOCATION Open to remote locations within the US.
This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
