Cybers Security Architect Contract Details Role Title: Cybersecurity Architect Location: Hybrid 2-3 days onsite per week Wokingham Contract Duration: 12 Months Rate: £570/day inside IR35 Active SC Clearance Required Core Responsibilities Design and maintain secure architecture frameworks for enterprise systems across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security gap analyses across infrastructure and application layers Define and enforce security standards, reference architectures, and policy controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CIS Evaluate, select, and integrate security technologies including:
Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Web Application Firewalls (WAF) Encryption and key management solutions
Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to embed security-by-design and support Secure Software Development Lifecycles (SSDLC) Lead initiatives around incident response strategy, detection engineering, mitigation planning, and digital forensics readiness Monitor emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes, providing expert guidance to stakeholders Produce high-quality architectural documentation supporting audit, governance, and compliance requirements Required Experience & Skills Proven experience in enterprise cybersecurity architecture , risk management, and compliance Strong knowledge of security engineering across:
Cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, GCP ) Networking and operating systems Containerised and modern infrastructure environments
Expertise in IAM, zero trust architecture, and secure infrastructure automation Solid understanding of:
Cryptographic protocols PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) Authentication and authorisation mechanisms Secure communications standards
Excellent technical writing skills for architecture documentation and audit readiness Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Certifications CISSP CISM GIAC certifications TOGAF SABSA Additional Notes Must be eligible and currently holding active SC clearance Role requires regular onsite attendance as part of hybrid working model Strong emphasis on enterprise-scale security architecture and governance If this matches your skills and experience, please apply today!
