A well-established and growing law firm in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a background in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation to join its busy and expanding team. This role is ideal for a motivated paralegal who is confident managing complex cases from intake through resolution and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through settlement or trial
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
  • Obtain, organize, and analyze medical records, bills, and related documentation
  • Coordinate with medical providers, experts, clients, and insurance carriers
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and case summaries
  • Maintain case calendars and ensure all deadlines are accurately tracked and met
  • Support depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures
  • Experience handling medical records and working with expert witnesses
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
