Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes Prepare account reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate journal entries Analyze financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards Apply established accounting policies and provide guidance to operational teams Prepare audit schedules and analyses and support internal and external audit activities Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of month-end close procedures across multiple operating units Execute and maintain internal control processes and procedures Act as a subject matter expert on internal control matters, supporting cross-functional teams Assist with internal process reviews and audits to identify opportunities for control and process enhancements Support annual budgeting and forecasting initiatives Perform monthly analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast expectations Assess key operational and financial metrics to support data-driven decision-making Provide insights related to capital asset tracking, management, and reporting, including support for enhanced and predictive reporting initiatives Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline CPA designation completed or in progress Minimum of three years of progressive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and account reconciliation Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manage large datasets Demonstrated mindset for continuous improvement, process optimization, and automation Experience with enterprise accounting or property management systems considered an asset Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
