The Director of Revenue Engineering is responsible for significant top line impact to company revenues, specifically responsible for the systems/business processes that help influence and drive commercial decision making.

What you'll do

  • Leads the core Revenue Management functions on the engineering teams, such as yield management, pricing, ancillary, revenue integrity, fare, and inventory distribution
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in support of revenue projects and initiatives and supports prioritization efforts across the enterprise
  • Identifies new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting
  • Leads the teams responsible for delivery, execution, and performance of American's commercial products into the marketplace
  • Creates a relentless focus on marketplace execution to drive incremental revenue outcome for American Airlines
  • Develops managers and analysts to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 7 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing large cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Technical Masters in relevant field
  • Prior experience in Revenue Management or related Commercial departments
  • Understanding of airline economics, operations, and revenue management techniques, and the ability to apply that knowledge to strategic problems

  • Action oriented, results-driven leader with a natural aptitude for engaging team members
  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills and build collaborative relationships with, and consensus amongst, multiple stakeholders with varying points of view
