Job OverviewWe are on the lookout for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Management Information and Data Team during an exciting period of change and modernization. If you possess excellent analytical skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data management and reporting processes, we want to hear from you!
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring our broking divisions have the data they need to thrive in a data-driven decision-making environment. This position is based in our London Headquarters, with a flexible/hybrid working model that typically involves two days in the office.
Your ImpactAs a Technical Business Analyst, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to data management and reporting.
- Assist in developing and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports that support our business objectives.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies, primarily using SQL and Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers by crafting clear user stories, documentation, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the implementation of MI reporting solutions, aligning business stakeholders and developers to create effective solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data tools and systems.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data management and analysis.
- Knowledge of the insurance market gained at a broker, (re)insurer, or MGA.
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and querying databases using SQL and Snowflake.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data governance and data quality management is a plus, along with a willingness to facilitate agile ceremonies and workshops.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
