About the RoleWe are seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Southampton. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized care packages that cater to the unique needs of each child and young adult. You will work alongside a supportive team that values your individuality and fosters professional growth.
What You’ll Do- Provide compassionate support to children and young people, promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being.
- Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with our young residents.
- Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, accepting guidance and direction.
- Work a 3-week rolling rota, including 7 × 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins, ensuring you have 1 weekend off every 3 weeks.
- Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
- A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A positive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern on rotation. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to professional development and ongoing training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting.
