Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Schedule/Hours:Availability to work variable shifts based on surgical scheduling needs.Includes some on-call and rotating weekend assignments. Qualifications:Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.Minimum of one year recent experience as an RN in an operating room setting.BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and perioperative procedures.Outstanding critical thinking, assessment, and communication abilities.Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:Circulate and/or scrub for surgical cases, ensuring adherence to all safety and aseptic protocols.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and supporting staff to promote optimal patient outcomes.Assess patients preoperatively, monitor intraoperatively, and assist with immediate postoperative care.Diligently document patient status, interventions, and outcomes throughout surgical processes.Maintain strict adherence to infection control and facility standards of care.Participate in ongoing staff education, skills development, and quality improvement initiatives.
