The Mobile Training Specialist facilitates training programs that support field operations, including creating new training material, training new and current employees, ensuring the Learning Management System (LMS) reflects course completion, and reporting progress to managers. This role supports operations throughout Southern Illinois and requires regular travel within the region, including overnight stays of at least two days at a time.
Key Responsibilities
The Mobile Training Specialist will conduct new hire orientation and ongoing training within their assigned area to ensure compliance with company, federal, and state regulations. This role is responsible for tracking progress in the Learning Management System (LMS) and reporting progress to operations, reviewing and maintaining current training materials, and developing and implementing new course material. They will partner with management to identify training needs, address specific skill and knowledge gaps, define training objectives, and respond to changes in policies, procedures, and work environments by developing and delivering effective training programs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements
- Skilled in written and oral communications. Strong customer service orientation with a collaborative approach. An ability to establish rapport easily and build positive relationships
- Ability to deliver creative and effective instruction using multiple modalities including one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and computer-based training
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines. A self-motivated and collaborative team player.
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational and industrial trends and make appropriate recommendations for new or updated training programs
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state regulations.
- Eligible as determined by the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Company’s Corporate Compliance Plan.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company’s insurance carrier.
