POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Les Jardins Du Couvent, a warm and welcoming private residence for seniors, has a Server/Waitress position available. Take the opportunity to work in a large, fully windowed dining room. Join a young and dynamic team. This is your opportunity to be recognized and valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of the service, and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of seniors! Permanent full-time position, between 32 and 35 hours per week, day and evening shifts from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and occasionally from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to the following work schedule: Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
• Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s)
• Greet clients and orient new residents by proposing their seat at an appropriate table
• Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
• Perform other related duties
• Prepare the lunches and suppers for the Health Care department
• Take orders, noting specific requests and following-up with the kitchen staff

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
• High school diploma (SSD)
