Micron is seeking an exceptional Electrical Operations Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between construction and operations—two essential functions that drive our manufacturing excellence. The Electrical Operations Engineer supports the full lifecycle of critical electrical systems across Micron manufacturing facilities. This role begins with a structured assignment supporting Construction Engineering through design review, constructability validation, and commissioning. Following construction support, the position transitions into operations ownership, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant performance of electrical distribution and control systems. The engineer collaborates with cross‑functional partners to maintain system uptime, drive reliability improvements, and support long‑term facility performance.

Review electrical design documents, support design coordination activities, and assess constructability and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Participate in submittal reviews, RFIs, system inspections, and commissioning activities to verify installation quality and system functionality. Perform and interpret electrical calculations including load flow, fault current, and arc flash studies using industry‑standard tools. Transition into system ownership post‑construction, managing electrical distribution equipment, motor control systems, UPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure. Conduct root‑cause analyses for electrical events, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain documentation accuracy using engineering tools and support training for maintenance and operations personnel. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. ~3–5 years of electrical engineering experience supporting design, construction, or operations. ~ Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and NETA testing practices. ~ Proficiency in electrical modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM) and BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
Experience in high‑reliability or mission‑critical facilities (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centers). Exposure to electrical system cybersecurity frameworks such as IEC 62443. Understanding of IoT, smart‑grid technologies, or Industry 4.0 electrical applications. Experience leading or mentoring operations or maintenance personnel.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
