Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for the project's electrical activities. They also ensure compliance with technical procedures on site. The Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for supervising and communicating the progress of electrical work for wind turbines. They ensure compliance with standards, plan and organize site activities with the coordinator, and act as a liaison between the various project stakeholders. They monitor work progress, prepare monitoring reports, participate in site meetings and quality inspections, while respecting deadlines and the allocated project budget.
This role is based on construction site on a full-time basis and therefore requires a high level of geographic mobility, as well as availability to work on a rotational schedule, based on project needs. To facilitate mobility, employees residing more than 120 km from the work site will be mobilized on site and may be eligible for certain benefits, in accordance with the company’s policies.

Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and...
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a college diploma, or any relevant experience;
• 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French;
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English, both spoken and written, in order to interact daily with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues located outside Québec, many of whom communicate exclusively in English. Required to attend coordination and project management meetings, provide progress updates, and prepare reports for English‑speaking stakeholders;
• High geographic mobility;
• Hold a valid driver's license;
• Ability to work in a team and communicate both verbally and in writing;
• Autonomy and leadership;
• Excellent team management and conflict resolution skills;
• Ability to adapt to a high-stress environment and weather fluctuations (construction site).
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
• Refer to the Superintendent of his own work trade;
• Run the Quality Plan throughout his/her work inspection;
• Act as an intermediary, between the contractor and the subcontractor, regarding the work quality of the trade in question;
• Have access to all the work and have the authority to;
• Identify quality issues and deviations points in the overall quality and environmental quality;
• Undertake to find, recommend, and provide solutions to problems;
• Stop any activity that contravenes the materials quality or environmental restriction;
• Supervise the process of solving a problem until it is completely resolved;
• Write non-compliances reports, when necessary;
• Support the project members in the implementation of the Quality Plan;
• Ensure the validity of documents related to the quality and monitors them;
• Conduct independent inspections in accordance with the Execution Procedures and ITP’s;
• Ensure that those responsible for the quality inspections of subcontractor’s work do their job and makes the necessary inspections as required;
• Ensure that all materials used in the work he/she oversees is deemed compliant by an independent laboratory or subcontractor’s quality inspectors;
• Track reception of material and inventory;
• Compile and interpret the data and statistics related to the work executed;
• Identify issues and monitors corrective actions;
• Produce, in collaboration with the Superintendent, the project end records depending on the progress of work;
• Other related duties.
