Clearlink IT is a 8-person MSP that has served Utah businesses for over 18 years. We are known for strong client relationships, professionalism, and doing things the right way.
We are hiring a senior systems engineer who will grow into the *technical lead of our team* and the *primary technical representative for several key client accounts*.
This is not a typical senior engineer position.
We are looking for someone who is excellent technically, communicates well with clients, and is ready to take on more responsibility in how an MSP operates day-to-day.

What This Role Becomes
Within the first year, this role is expected to grow into:
* Primary escalation point for other technicians
* Technical lead and main point of contact for several important clients
* Mentor and resource for junior staff
* A major contributor to how our help desk and projects run smoothly
* Someone the owner can rely on to help keep daily technical operations on track
You will remain hands-on with tickets and projects, while also stepping into a leadership role within the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and managing a number of client environments as their primary technical contact
* Handling advanced technical issues across multiple client networks
* Working and Leading infrastructure projects (servers, firewalls, M365, networking, migrations)
* Acting as the go-to escalation point for other technicians
* Working directly with clients on higher-level needs, planning, and audits
* Improving documentation, standards, and internal processes
* Helping keep projects moving and the help desk running efficiently
* Sharing in after-hours on-call rotation when needed
The Person We’re Looking For
You likely:
* Have 5+ years of systems engineering experience (preferably MSP)
* Are very comfortable with Windows Server, networking, virtualization, M365/Azure
* Can run projects on your own with minimal oversight
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
* Naturally step up when things are messy or unclear
* Like being relied on by both clients and coworkers
* Want a role where you have more responsibility and influence than a typical engineer role
This role is for someone who wants to grow into a technical leadership position, not just work tickets.
Nice to Have
* MSP experience
* Firewall and network infrastructure experience
* Entra ID / M365 migrations
* Security and compliance exposure
* ConnectWise or similar PSA/RMM experience
Compensation & Growth
*$89,000 – $105,000 starting DOE*
As you take on more responsibility within the team and with client accounts, this role has room to grow in both scope and compensation.
