Part-time Physical Therapist

Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Part-time Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in our Texas-based hospitals and clinics. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to patients across a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and chronic health issues. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function and quality of life. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team, you will communicate regularly with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care and support safe, effective discharge planning. You will educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and strategies to improve independence, tailoring your teaching to each patient’s goals and abilities. Responsibilities include conducting physical therapy assessments, setting measurable functional goals, implementing therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, utilizing modalities as appropriate, and regularly reassessing progress to adjust treatment plans. You will help mentor and support physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians as appropriate, and may assist with student clinical education. Flexibility is required to work a part-time schedule that may include weekdays, occasional weekends, or holiday rotations based on department needs.
