Job Description
Construction Estimator Company: Sound Floors LLC Location: In-Office (Spanaway, WA) Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 Base Salary Benefits: 100% Employer-Paid Private Healthcare (after 90 days)
About the Role: Sound Floors is Washington's premier provider of gypsum floor underlayment and elevated waterproofing systems. As we continue to grow the Pacific Northwest multifamily and commercial markets, we are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. This is a critical role within our operation. You will be responsible for analyzing complex architectural plans and producing the high accuracy takeoffs that drive our projects.
Core Responsibilities:
* Blueprint Analysis: Navigate high volume multifamily and commercial architectural plans to locate finish schedules, fire ratings, and acoustic requirements * Digital Takeoffs: Perform expert digital takeoffs to extract accurate square footage, linear footage * Scope Development: Translate technical measurements into clear, actionable, and profitable scopes of work. * Revision Management: Proactively track incoming plan revisions, RFI responses, and addendums to ensure material quantities remain accurate throughout the bid cycle. * Material Coordination: Work closely with our operations team to ensure bid quantities align with our warranty requirements. * What We Want From You:
* Obsessive Attention to Detail: Multifamily plans are complex. You must be organized enough to catch the small details in finish schedules that impact the bottom line. * Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with digital takeoff software is strongly preferred. * Industry Knowledge: Experience in multifamily construction, flooring, or general estimating is highly valued, though we will provide specialized training on our systems. * Why Sound Floors?
