We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist 2 to join Methodist Health System’s Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide advanced, evidence-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients across a variety of clinical settings, helping restore function, reduce pain, and maximize quality of life. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with Methodist Health System’s mission to improve and save lives with compassion and high-quality care. As a Physical Therapist 2, you bring prior clinical experience and sound clinical judgment, managing a caseload of patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, post-surgical, and complex medical conditions. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, establish functional goals, select appropriate therapeutic interventions, and regularly reassess progress, modifying plans of care based on patient response and best-practice guidelines. You will document all care in the electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring regulatory and payer compliance. You will educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, equipment use, and strategies to prevent further injury, promoting long-term independence and optimal outcomes. Collaboration is central to this role; you will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, coordinate with case managers and social workers on discharge planning, and communicate clearly with referring providers to ensure continuity of care. You will contribute to departmental goals related to patient satisfaction, functional outcomes, safety, and operational efficiency. This position requires strong clinical skills in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. You should be comfortable using common therapy modalities and equipment and be proficient in clinical documentation systems. Time management, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are essential. The Physical Therapist 2 role is a full-time position within the Healthcare & Medical Services department at Methodist Health System, based in {JOB-CITY}, {JOB-STATE}. Care may be delivered in a hybrid mix of acute care, outpatient, and/or other clinical settings depending on departmental needs, with expectations for some flexibility in scheduling to meet patient and operational needs.
