À propos

Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist / PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our respected Healthcare & Medical network. In this as‑needed role, you will provide high‑quality, compassionate physical therapy services to patients across the continuum of care, supporting Methodist’s mission to improve and save lives through exceptional clinical practice. Working within an organization that values integrity, compassion, accountability, and collaboration, you will partner closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other allied health professionals to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and maximize independence.
As a Physical Therapist / PRN, you will perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, medical‑surgical, and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. You will develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans, establish functional and measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families, and adjust interventions based on clinical progress and best‑practice guidelines. You will provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re‑education, manual therapy techniques, and patient and caregiver education to promote safety, mobility, and long‑term wellness.
You will be responsible for accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record, including initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries that meet regulatory, professional, and Methodist Health System standards. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, you will participate in care planning, discharge recommendations, and coordination of durable medical equipment or follow‑up therapy services. You will follow all hospital and departmental policies, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
This PRN position offers flexible scheduling based on patient census and department needs, which may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. You may provide coverage in multiple care areas depending on experience and operational requirements, such as acute inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and inpatient rehabilitation. The role is ideal for a self‑directed clinician who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment, communicates effectively with diverse patients and team members, and is committed to delivering patient‑centered, culturally sensitive care.
Methodist Health System fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where therapists are encouraged to share clinical expertise, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement. As part of our commitment to professional growth, you will work alongside experienced clinicians and have opportunities to refine your skills through exposure to varied diagnoses and treatment approaches. If you are a licensed Physical Therapist who values integrity, compassion, and accountability and are looking for a meaningful PRN role that supports patients and teams across the hospital system, we invite you to consider joining Methodist Health System.
