Job Description
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings. You’ll deliver vital OT services—both direct and consultative—in a supportive educational environment near Chicopee, MA. With a manageable caseload of around 11 students and a consistent, part-time schedule, you’ll help students thrive academically and developmentally for the remainder of the school year. What You’ll Need:Valid Occupational Therapist license in MassachusettsPrior experience delivering OT services in K-12 schools strongly preferredKnowledge of implementing IEPs and goal-driven therapy in educational settingsAbility to work independently and collaborate with educators, families, and other specialistsStrong organizational and time management skillsCommitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment What You’ll Do:Provide Occupational Therapy evaluations and interventions for a caseload of approximately 11 studentsConduct individual and small-group sessions (students typically seen 1-2 times per week for 20-30 minutes)Offer consultative support to teachers and families, ensuring effective strategies are implemented in the classroom and at homeDocument assessments, progress, and communications in compliance with school protocolsParticipate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success Adapt therapy approaches and activities to suit varied student strengths and needs This is an opportunity to positively impact students’ growth and learning, all within a flexible two-days-per-week schedule.
