The Institute of Technology is seeking Nursing Instructor for our LVN program. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, facilitating hands-on clinical experiences, and evaluating student performance. Candidates must possess a valid nursing license, relevant teaching experience, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*
* Knowledge of state and federal laws governing the education and licensure of vocational/practical nurses
* Leadership in both academic and workforce areas
* Ability to establish collegial relationships with peers
* Ability to be an effective liaison and to maintain a harmonious relationship at various healthcare facilities.
* Maintain confidentiality of student information
* Exercise stewardship of college facilities and materials
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Current active unencumbered RN/LVN license to practice professional nursing in California
* Valid California driver’s license
* License by the BVNPT
*Education/Experience*
* Bachelor's degree with 3 years bedside Experience _OR_
* Associate degree with 6 years bedside experience
* A minimum of two years’ experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years
*Other*
* Current American Heart Association BCLS
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $37.00 - $47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
