*Job Description: *is responsible for creating CNC machine tool programs for a variety of high-end acoustical wood products using CAD/CAM software and AutoCAD 2D drawing files via CNC programming, fixturing design and set-up, tooling selection and cutting parameters. Candidate must exhibit proficiency in the field of woodworking CNC programing and be able to work independently to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products as well as perform routine machine maintenance. This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday) with occasional overtime at our Norwood Young America facility.
*Principal Accountabilities:*
· Determine most efficient ways of machining parts on machine
· Nest CAD files for cutting & machining operations
· Specify proper tooling & fixturing needed for manufacturing of parts
· Program/Set-up machine tooling for cutting, routing & drilling operations
· Operate machine to produce finished parts
· Perform daily machine maintenance
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
*Desired Qualifications:*
High School Diploma/GED required for this position with reliable transportation, attendance and work ethic.
· Technical proficiency in CAD/CAM software, programming languages and machining practices of woodworking CNC machines
· Minimum of 1-year related work experience in wood CNC operation
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Basic mathematical abilities and computer literacy
· Ability to stand and regularly lift 20-75 pounds
· Basic carpentry skills and experience with power tools a plus
*Preferred Qualifications:*
· Post education with certifications
· 5+ years + related work experience in wood CNC operation
*Working Conditions: *Work will be in a shop/warehouse environment.
*Pay*: $21.50 - $38.50 per hour based on skill/merit = 45-80K per year
