Per Diem Infusion RN

Allied Digestive Health is seeking a Per Diem Infusion RN to support our Healthcare & Medical Services team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered infusion care within our gastroenterology-focused practices. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapies for a variety of digestive health conditions, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols. Working closely with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and fellow nursing staff, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, review medical histories and current treatment plans, verify infusion orders, and initiate, monitor, and complete IV infusions according to physician directives and organizational policies. You will be responsible for starting and maintaining peripheral IV lines (and central lines if applicable to your experience and credentials), administering medications and biologic therapies, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, documenting all care accurately in the electronic medical record, and providing clear patient and family education about medications, potential side effects, and post-treatment care. The Per Diem Infusion RN will triage patient concerns during infusion visits, escalate changes in condition to the provider team, and collaborate on individualized care plans that reflect Allied Digestive Health’s commitment to compassionate, coordinated care. You will uphold strict infection prevention practices, maintain infusion equipment and supplies, follow pharmacy preparation and double-check procedures, and adhere to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards. As a per diem team member, you will enjoy flexible scheduling to cover planned and unplanned staffing needs, including possible weekday, evening, or weekend shifts depending on site requirements. You will be expected to function independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment, prioritize multiple patients and infusion schedules, and communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across our network of offices and endoscopy centers. This role is ideal for an experienced infusion or oncology/gastroenterology RN who values autonomy, teamwork, and consistent patient interaction in an ambulatory setting.
