À propos
Good Samaritan is seeking a compassionate, full-time Day Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN FT Day) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team serving underserved communities. In this mission-driven role, you will provide direct, patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and providers, supporting holistic health and wellness outcomes across the lifespan. Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will obtain and document vital signs, perform focused assessments within LPN scope, administer medications and treatments safely, and assist with chronic disease management and preventive care. You will support providers with examinations and minor procedures, accurately document care in the electronic health record, and reinforce patient education on medications, lifestyle changes, and follow-up plans. The LPN FT Day will coordinate care by communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring culturally sensitive, trauma-informed interactions that reflect our values of compassion, integrity, and community engagement. Responsibilities include maintaining infection prevention and control standards, preparing and stocking exam rooms, managing supplies, performing basic lab tests and specimen collection as permitted, and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition, including participating in emergency response within your scope. You will actively contribute to care quality and safety initiatives, follow established clinical protocols and standing orders, and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and performance improvement projects aimed at improving community health outcomes. This role offers regular daytime hours, minimizing nights and weekends, along with opportunities for professional growth through ongoing education, mentorship, and exposure to community health initiatives. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting, and committed to serving diverse and underserved populations while supporting Good Samaritan’s mission to advance whole-person wellness in the community.
