Purpose of the role
To ensure the seamless operation of The Skills Network's technological infrastructure in collaboration with fellow IT technicians and external IT support provider, Affinity
Offer comprehensive IT support, addressing first, second, and third-line technical issues, ensuring optimal functionality of all computer systems, networks, and telephony services
Uphold and enhance the organization's IT security and systems, maintaining up-to-date hardware, software, and security protocols
Work closely with the broader technology team and other departments to foster a technology-driven environment aligned with the organizational objectives and strategies of The Skills Network
Ensure consistent on-site presence for immediate and effective IT support during office hours, facilitating a mix of on-site and remote working capabilities
Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and operations, keeping abreast of the latest technological advancements and best practices
Participate in project-led tasks, such as deploying new infrastructure and hardware, contributing technical expertise to meet organizational goals
Promote a collaborative work culture, offering escalation support, expertise, and fostering knowledge sharing within the IT function and across the organization
