About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support their engineering and surveying teams in the preparation of high-quality technical drawings and plans. This role plays a key part in transforming field data and design concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings for civil engineering and land development projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D drawings using CAD software for civil engineering and surveying projects Assist in the development of site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents Interpret field survey data, sketches, and engineering markups to produce accurate drawings Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and version control Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure design accuracy and completeness Revise drawings based on feedback, redlines, and project updates Support plotting, formatting, and document preparation for client deliverables and permitting Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements Qualifications Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field (preferred) 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in civil engineering or land surveying Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with Civil 3D is highly preferred Strong understanding of drafting standards, layers, scaling, and dimensioning Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and survey data High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
