Where will you be working? At M Group Telecom, were enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Private networks, We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape. Want to come and be a part of it? You will be contractually based at your nearest M Group Ltd office, with the role primarily carried out remotely and occasional travel for meetings nationwide.
What will you be doing? Youll be responsible for overseeingand ensuring complianceofthe design management procedures for our construction contracts from contract award until project completion. Youll be responsible for overseeing and approving design compliance audits for construction contacts from contract award until project completion Youll be overseeing the production, maintenance, and implementation of a design programme. Youll be approving design intent documents and technical deviation requests. Well be wanting you to chair design review meetings and attend hazard review meetings and ensuring pre-construction hazard information is considered and mitigated. Youll becompleting relevant sections of design intent documents and submit design packages for compliance audits. Managing design changes in accordance with the design change management process. And ensuring proposed equipment is suitable and compliant with technical specifications. Youll be planning, managing, and monitoring design works, ensuring health and safety aspects are coordinated.
What youll bring We are keen to hear from candidates with a strong construction background or an experienced Design Office Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career. This could include an Authorised Person who has a solid grasp of design documentation, industry standards, and compliance requirements. You will bring proven experience in design management within the construction or energy sector, with a strong understanding of both technical and procedural requirements throughout the project lifecycle. A sound working knowledge of CDM 2015 is highly desirable, along with the ability to interpret, challenge, and manage complex design information. Youll be a collaborative leader with excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, confident working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients. You will be comfortable managing design change, ensuring that all solutions remain compliant with relevant standards, regulations, and client specifications. Professional credibility is important; chartered membership of an appropriate professional body is preferred. Experience working to SR135 and SR188 standards (or UK/BP TP135 and TP188) is required, along with a strong appreciation of safety, quality, and assurance processes in regulated environments. This role would suit someone who enjoys ownership, influence, and progression, and who is ready to step into a position with genuine responsibility for design integrity and governance.
