The Specialist, Charter Operations is responsible for execution and operational integrity of Air Canada extensive Jetz and Charter VIP portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible and main point of operations contact for VIP customers including professionals sports teams, programmed and adhoc charters.
- Manage schedule adjustments and collaborate with customers, FBOs, Customs, Airports Authorities and varying required stakeholders depending on customer type to ensure a high degree of discretion and confidentiality with VIP customers journeys
- Manage client expectations relating to all customer touch points to secure customer trust and satisfaction
- Direct and lead Operational teams (SOC, Flt OPS, Dispatch, IFS, Crew Scheduling, ACM, Airports) to ensure customer satisfaction, often day of flight.
- Ensure schedule integrity with Scheduling team and proactively address any potential issues
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for Air Canada (including Rouge) and for Air Canada Jetz’ existing and new charter offerings, while maximizing charter sales growth through fleet expansion.
- Main point of contact for AC OPS reps and customer travel managers during operation
- Responsible in carrying out sales activities for Air Canada (includes rouge) + Air Canada Jetz charter sales at meetings, trade shows, conventions and corporate functions encompassing local, national and international levels.
- Work closely with the Principal, Jetz and Charters and Manager, Charter Planning to facilitate availability, fleet requirements, pricing and contracts.
- In coordination with the Canada, USA, International and Corporate account management teams, identify and maximize Charter revenue opportunities with our managed customer base.
- Create, develop and implement new sales business strategies for Domestic, Transborder and International clientele while promoting new destinations
- Develop and lead special charter projects as assigned.
- In tandem with the Principal, Jetz and Charters, identify opportunities to innovate highly customized service delivery for charters.
- Manage and liaise client expectations relating to all customer touch points
- Liaise with Marketing Department to develop new branding strategies for Air Canada (includes rouge) and work closely with Manager, Jetz Product + Charter Services for Air Canada Jetz charter sales on aircanada.com website design and internal/external communication platforms.
- Work closely with Sponsorship Department and Manager, Jetz Product + Charter Services to leverage long-term and ad hoc charters for domestic and international high-profile events.
Qualifications
- University Degree
- Minimum 8 years of airline experience required, preferably in an operational planning or execution role
- Strong project management discipline and ability to work closely with various teams and moving parts required in conjunction with Jetz Product + Charter Services department to ensure smooth implementation and completion of charter operations.
- Exceptional presentation skills and ability to comfortably interact with all customer organizational levels.
- Excellent grasp of the full Microsoft suite.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and ability to work with confidential information
- Ability to work under a tight deadline with little supervision while using own judgment
Conditions of Employment:
