Description
The advanced level class works under general supervision & requires thorough knowledge of market research methods as well as County resources; promotional development and distribution tools; to perform marketing and public relations public relation activities principals wide variety of tasks that include writing for print and social media, developing newsletters and creating presentations for public speaking events.
Normal Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm. May include some evenings and weekends. Alternative work schedule may be offered.
Posted until filled. Duties/Responsibilities
Proficient use of Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Acrobat) and basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, and PowerPoint) to create materials such as promotional brochures, advertisements, digital assets, event collateral, and signage, including custom event welcome signs and name tags. Ensure all design elements align with the bureau's brand guidelines. Maintain a cohesive visual identity across various platforms to strengthen brand recognition and recall.
Design graphics for the bureau's website, social media channels, and email campaigns. Optimize visual content for online platforms to enhance the destination's digital presence and engagement.
Assist in designing comprehensive marketing materials targeting diverse markets, tailoring approaches to meet specific segment needs. Showcase attractions, venues, accommodations, and services through tailored materials. Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to assist in ongoing product development efforts for the bureau.
Work closely with the marketing and sales team and other stakeholders to understand campaign objectives and integrate compelling visuals that resonate with target audiences. Facilitate the seamless execution and planning of event signage and design materials.
Manage the end-to-end print production process, including liaising with printers, selecting materials, and ensuring the quality of the final deliverables. Stay informed about design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Research and adapt designs to suit different mediums and platforms, ensuring the bureau remains at the forefront of visual communication.
Provides support and coverage for Sales Managers as needed, particularly during times of leave or high workload; includes assuming responsibility for key duties to ensure continuity of operations. Performs others duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of core course work for Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, or a related field with 36 mos. related experience and/or training in graphic design, advertising and marketing, or product/brand design; valid Ohio Driver's License.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Predictable and regular attendance is required.
Stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
