À propos
North Shore Systems is a leading provider of end-to-end cloud-based software for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) finance industry. For over 20 years, we have empowered lenders and investors by automating the entire loan lifecycle—from origination and underwriting to asset management and servicing. We pride ourselves on being more than a vendor; we are a long-term technology partner to our clients, delivering best-in-class solutions tailored to the complex needs of the financial services sector.
*The Role*
We are seeking a *Sr. Product Manager* who is as comfortable "speaking client" as they are "speaking tech." You will be the primary bridge between our customers' business needs and our engineering team's technical execution. This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring deep domain expertise in *commercial lending* (underwriting, pipeline management, asset management, and servicing) and a proven ability to manage the full product development lifecycle.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Client Relations & Project Management:* Lead client meetings, manage expectations, and serve as the primary point of contact for projects. Manage the full lifecycle of customer tickets from initial intake through final resolution.
* *Requirements Engineering:* Gather complex business requirements from clients and stakeholders. Translate these into detailed technical requirements and functional design documents for modifications or development of products, processes, and features.
* *Design & Strategy:* Build comprehensive design documents for new product initiatives. Attend internal status meetings and work closely with senior management to ensure all development aligns with the company vision and market trends.
* *Technical Oversight:* Collaborate with programmers and report developers to provide oversight and clarity on requirements. Ensure the technical team understands the "why" behind the "what" to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
* *QA & Release Management:* Oversee the testing phase, including hands-on QA testing and release oversight, to ensure every deployment meets our rigorous quality standards.
* *Reporting:* Provide regular, transparent status reports to both clients and internal leadership regarding project health and product performance.
*What You Bring*
* *Industry Expertise: *Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically focused on commercial lending (underwriting, pipeline, asset management, and servicing).
* *Technical & Analyst Skills:*
* *SQL Mastery: *Analyst-level proficiency in building scripts and complex queries to extract and analyze data.
* *Systems Thinking:* Comprehensive knowledge in collecting data and functional requirements, as well as mapping data flows to guarantee precise system integration and reporting. Skilled at recognizing how proposed designs can affect processes both upstream and downstream.
* *Design & Analytical Rigor: *Expert-level ability to write Functional Design Documents (FDDs) that are clear, actionable, and comprehensive.
* *Advanced MS Office: *Expert-level skills in Excel for data modeling and PowerPoint for executive presentations.
* *Visual Documentation: *Proficiency in Visio for creating process flows and architectural diagrams.
* *Technical Fluency: *Ability to "speak tech" with developers while effectively "speaking client" with non-technical stakeholders. You must be able to bridge this gap seamlessly.
* *Proven Track Record: *5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within B2B SaaS or fintech.
* *Communication Skills: *Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for building design documents and leading executive-level briefings.
