*Job Overview*
Under administrative guidance, the Project Manager oversees the coordination of project management activities required to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant specifications. This position also requires estimating and quoting jobs and is responsible for quality assurance through structured project controls as well as managing project resources and personnel.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
1. Conduct regular progress meetings with the customer to track milestones, check on performance, and resolve any issues proactively.
2. Be forward thinking and progressively work towards and identify additional business opportunities.
3. Sets an example to other employees by means of arriving promptly on schedule, keeping a neat and organized work area, and maintaining a personal calendar, journal and task list.
4. Ensures that all engineering personnel are equipped with the necessary materials to perform assigned project tasks in a safe, timely, accurate, and professional manner:
a. Computing, software
b. Staying current with technology, organize training, promote individual professional growth and technical skills.
c. Work with resource manager to ensure projects are adequately staffed with personnel having the required skills.
d. Identify engineering personnel’s project specific knowledge gaps and provide countermeasure to correct.
5. Project Management & Administration:
a. Creates job setups and manages EVs within our SAP system.
b. Approves project resource timesheets within our SAP system..
c. Conduct kickoff meetings for new projects, clearly defining goals, scope, budget, and schedule.
d. Identify tasks to prioritize, monitor due dates and upcoming milestones, and ensure completion documentation is up to date on the server.
e. Track project hours and material usage against budget, flagging potential overages to the relevant parties (Business Unit Manager, Controller, etc.).
f. Coordinate weekly communication with customers, ideally through the assigned engineer, and personally manage communication as needed for certain projects.
g. Ensure detailed updates for projects are sent with significant design content, scope, issues, or key milestones.
h. Creates detailed meeting minutes for customer and internal meetings and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
6. Engineering Method, Practice, and Procedure
a. Ensure engineering staff maintains accurate project documentation.
b. Ensure engineering staff out of the office maintain disciplined contact with the office.
· Assigns tasks and direction to engineering staff that are out of the office.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*:
· 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred.
· 5-7 years’ experience in industrial automation or related field is preferred.
· At least five years of proven project management skills is required. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills will be key to the in order to be successful in this role.
· Familiarity with SAP systems is required.
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to be responsive to customers’ demands, requirements.
* Ability to manage projects and quality processes.
* Ability to manage engineering staff and quickly address and\\or correct any performance or teamwork issues.
* Ability to effectively communicate with customers and engineering staff for project coordination and maintaining client relationships.
* Proficiency in project estimating.
* PLC Programming skills a plus.
* 25% of local travel between job sites is required.
*Supervisory Responsibility: *
This position is exempt.
*Position Type and Expected hours of work: *
Your manager will provide specific scheduling expectations, and any changes will be communicated in advance. Primary work location will be at headquarter office or designated client sites.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
