*Summary:*
The Program Manager is responsible for leading complex aerospace programs from concept through delivery, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance targets are met. They must have a strong Engineering background, understand Manufacturing, Aerospace and DOD industry. This role will partner with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and customers to drive program execution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, assertive, and proactive, with strong communication and leadership skills. We are a small company and are very flat lined so having a strong understanding of Engineering and being able to multi-task is a must.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Program Leadership & Execution*
* Lead full program lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and close.
* Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and program plans.
* Manage cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
* Drive cross-functional teams to meet program milestones and delivery requirements.
*Customer & Stakeholder Management*
* Serve as primary customer interface for assigned programs.
* Lead customer meetings, program reviews, and reporting activities.
* Build strong customer relationships and ensure all contractual requirements are met or exceeded.
*Risk, Issues & Change Management*
* Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues.
* Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
* Manage contract changes, scope updates, and configuration control.
*Technical & Operational Coordination*
* Strong Engineering background. Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure technical requirements and design-to-cost objectives are met.
* Support production readiness, qualification, testing, and product delivery activities.
* Coordinate with supply chain to manage supplier performance and long-lead items.
*Business & Financial Management*
* Track program financials, forecasts, and performance metrics.
* Support proposal development, cost estimating, and negotiation efforts.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
*Leadership & Continuous Improvement*
* Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for cross-functional teams.
* Champion Lean principles, process improvements, and efficient program execution.
* Mentor junior program managers or project coordinators as needed.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Aerospace, or related field) or Minimum of 5 years of program management experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
* Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and engineering processes, and product lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated proficiency with program management tools and ERP (GSS preferred).
* Experience with DoD, FAA, or OEM aerospace required.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
