Residential Childcare Support Worker

This is a fantastic opportunity to work full-time, with a flexible schedule that includes 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts.

Your hard work will be rewarded with a base salary of £23,277.80 , with the potential to earn up to £28,893.80 per annum, including sleep-in shifts.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping young people transition towards independence. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans.
• Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
• Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, ensuring their progress is documented and submitted to relevant instructors.
• Building community links with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Flexibility in your availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
• A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma , Children and Young People's Workforce , or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to study towards this).
• Experience working with attachment and trauma, as well as challenging behavior or mental health issues (desirable).
• An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
• A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), although good public transport links are available.
• Intermediate computer skills.

This role involves working on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends. Flexibility in your availability is essential!
