Title: Accounting Manager (Revenue Focus)
Compensation: $120K–$150K base (bonus potential)
Location: San Diego, CA | Hybrid (~3 days onsite)
Overview:
This Accounting Manager role is designed for a hands?on accounting leader who can step into a fast?moving, operationally complex manufacturing environment and immediately take ownership of the close. The accounting function is lean, expectations are high, and this role will play a critical part in tightening processes, building structure, and creating consistency without slowing day?to?day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own month?end, quarter?end, and year?end close processes end to end
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure accurate application and ongoing compliance with ASC 606, including revenue recognition analysis, judgment support, and documentation
- Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842, including technical assessment, schedules, and coordination with operational stakeholders
- Identify gaps in existing processes and implement practical improvements
- Establish and maintain accounting controls and supporting documentation
- Partner cross?functionally to support accurate and timely financial data
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience owning the close in a complex accounting environment
- Strong technical accounting foundation, including hands?on experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Ability to independently review journal entries, reconciliations, and financials
- Comfortable operating in fast?paced, minimally structured organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting manufacturing or operationally driven accounting environments
- Exposure to cost allocations, project?based work, or multi?stream accounting
- Background working through periods of change

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
