We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to dogs and cats . This role involves working closely with both pets and their owners, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment while performing essential veterinary tasks.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist veterinarian(s) during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
* Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples as needed.
* Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
* Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the veterinarian.
* Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
* Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
* Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dog and cat handling and animal handling techniques.
* Experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
* Knowledge of dog training methods is advantageous.
* Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure safe medical practices.
* Strong understanding of animal husbandry principles for various species including equine.
* Ability to perform laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
* Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to animal welfare.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
