This is a hands-on technical support role where you’ll be the first point of contact for IT issues, providing 1st and 2nd line support, resolving incidents, and ensuring users can work efficiently and securely.
You’ll take ownership of the support queue, help drive issues through to resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement across our IT service . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, variety, and working closely with users in a busy operational environment.
*What you’ll be doing*
* Delivering 1st and 2nd line IT support across the organisation
* Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues
* Managing and prioritising the IT service desk queue, ensuring SLA adherence
* Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues
* Supporting deployment, patching, and lifecycle management of devices (laptops, mobiles, tablets, etc.)
* Delivering IT inductions and user training for new starters
* Monitoring system performance and supporting service availability and resilience
* Working with third-party suppliers to resolve incidents and support projects Maintaining accurate records and documentation
*What we’re looking for*
We’re looking for someone with solid, hands-on IT support experience who enjoys working directly with users and takes pride in delivering a great service.
*You’ll bring:*
* Proven experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
* Experience supporting desktop, laptop, and mobile device environments
* Understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, subnetting, connectivity issues)
* Experience with mobile device management (iOS and Android)
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tickets effectively
* Clear communication skills and a strong customer-first mindset
* Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team
