The Role

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing credit control across a diverse portfolio of accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export customers. You will play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls while maintaining excellent relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage credit control for a range of customer accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export clients using a variety of collection and risk management techniques.
  • Conduct credit reviews and ongoing risk management of customer accounts.
  • Handle discrepancy management and resolve customer queries efficiently.
  • Manage order suspension and release in line with credit policies.
  • Liaise with multiple UK sites to provide dedicated credit control support.
  • Prepare for and attend regular debt and risk review meetings.
  • Ensure all requests received through the credit control inbox are actioned promptly.
  • Produce weekly and bi-weekly reporting on credit control performance and account status.

About You

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong team ethic.
  • Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience driving continuous improvements and supporting change initiatives.
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems (Navision and SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong internal and external customer focus.
