Position Summary We are seeking a
Design Engineer I
who will work under the supervision of a project manager, engineering manager, supervisor, or lead designer. The role involves providing design support for specifically defined portions of larger projects, with general instructions for routine tasks and detailed instructions for new assignments. Tasks include developing aircraft structural layouts and designing individual components, assemblies, and installations. Design work may also involve limited design and integration of aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and environmental control systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Apply standard engineering practices and innovative methodologies to solve problems involving a limited number of variables.
Focus on existing products and processes.
Research and develop limited structural engineering layouts.
Create conceptual layouts and designs of components, assemblies, and installations.
Use standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a specified engineering field.
Have basic to intermediate knowledge of CATIA V5 engineering design software.
Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis requires review of identifiable factors.
Provide creativity and latitude when necessary.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience
BS in mechanical, civil, aerospace, or related engineering (BSME, BSCE, BSAE) with 0‑4 years of experience in the aerospace or related industry.
Working knowledge of CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or other 3‑D design software preferred.
Basic knowledge of MS Office products.

Compensation Annual Salary Range : $59,280 – $98,940 Base pay is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington. Other geographies may have different compensation.
