Data Engineering & Analytics Lead (Contract-to-Hire) Location:

Contract-to-Hire Overview We are seeking a versatile, hands-on professional to join our client’s team in a hybrid role that blends data engineering, data analytics, and project management. This individual will play a critical role in delivering data-driven solutions, partnering with stakeholders, and helping drive adoption of modern data and AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats—building data solutions, analyzing insights, and leading projects from concept through delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data models to support business and analytics needs Work extensively with large datasets using advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis Develop dashboards, reports, and insights to support decision-making Lead and deliver data-focused projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality expectations are met Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Drive adoption and best practices across the Microsoft data ecosystem, including modern tools and platforms Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve processes and outcomes Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring clear communication and alignment Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with SQL, particularly working with large and complex datasets Experience in at least one of the following: Microsoft Fabric Power BI Microsoft AI Foundry (or similar AI/ML platforms within Microsoft ecosystem) Proven ability to deliver projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working directly with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and providing solutions Solid understanding of data engineering and analytics concepts (ETL/ELT, data modeling, reporting) Preferred Qualifications Experience across the broader Microsoft data stack (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, etc.) Exposure to AI/ML use cases or implementing AI-driven solutions Strong communication and organizational skills with a consultative mindset Prior experience in a hybrid role combining technical delivery and project coordination What Makes This Role Unique Opportunity to work at the intersection of data, analytics, and AI High visibility role with direct stakeholder engagement Chance to influence and modernize data capabilities using cutting-edge Microsoft technologies Clear path to a full-time position based on performance If you’re someone who enjoys both the technical and strategic sides of data—and wants to help shape how organizations leverage data and AI—this role offers a strong platform to make an impact.
