Salary: £21,257.48 - £23,232.69 (pro rata: £12,754.48 - £13,938.62)

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six) to enhance their learning experience.
  • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Report on progress and concerns, collaborating with school staff to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  • Help with lesson planning and preparation to support effective teaching.
  • Set work and mark assignments where appropriate, providing constructive feedback.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A strong educational background (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and solid IT skills.
  • Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant experience is desirable).
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
  • The ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school, or activities.
  • Experience in behavior management.
  • A commitment to professional development and growth.
  • A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
