As a Website Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing website design, development, and transfer. This role combines both the technical aspects of backend website updates and troubleshooting with design work executed through templated builders like WP Bakery and WordPress, as well as AI tools such as Claude Code. You’ll also handle ad landing page creation, edits, and assist with website hosting for clients. This role will also include some graphic design and branding projects. This full-time, hourly position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience with WordPress who’s eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.
Preferred candidates should not be planning to actively freelance after accepting this position. They should also have a strong eye for aesthetics as well as functionality. While this role involves some backend updates and AI-assisted code work, it is not heavy in hard coding.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Website Management:*
* Manage and oversee website design, development, and transfer.
* Build and edit sites using templated builders like WP Bakery and WordPress, leveraging AI tools such as Claude Code to streamline work.
* Experiment with new website builders and design strategies.
* Optimize website performance, security, and user experience.
* Manage website hosting for clients and resolve technical issues, including backend updates and troubleshooting.
* *Client Communication:*
* Provide regular updates to clients on project status.
* Address client questions and offer strategic recommendations via phone calls and meetings.
* Assist answering the office phone line.
* Assist in website clients onboarding.
* *Branding and Graphic Design:*
* Support other design-related projects as needed including branding servicing, logo design, ad copy creation, and more.
* *Additional Responsibilities:*
* Support with other digital marketing related tasks including assisting the advertising and CRM departments with DNS questions and tasks.
*Requirements:*
* 1–2 years of experience with WordPress.
* Experience with templated page builders such as WP Bakery.
* Comfort using AI tools such as Claude Code to assist with backend updates and troubleshooting.
* Eye for aesthetics and design.
* Ability to use Adobe Illustrator.
* Graphic design and branding abilities.
* Strong understanding of website design principles.
* Experience with website hosting platforms.
* Familiarity in simple HTML/CSS is a plus.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as with a team while managing multiple projects.
*Compensation & Benefits:*
* *Hourly Rate:* $20/hour starting rate
* Individuals with experience may be eligible for an increased starting rate
* *Raises and Bonuses:* Quarterly based on measurable performance improvements (e.g., client satisfaction, exceeding deadlines, client retention, etc).
* *Schedule:* Full-time, hourly
* Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
