Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled and patient-centered Radiology Technologist (CT/X-Ray Technologist) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our leading not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas. In this role, you will perform a broad range of CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings. You will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and operating CT and radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will review exam orders, follow established imaging protocols, and adjust techniques based on patient condition and clinical indications. Your daily responsibilities will include verifying patient identity and medical history, explaining procedures in a clear and compassionate manner, obtaining informed consent where required, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each study. You will assess image quality, recognize the need for additional views or repeat imaging when appropriate, and promptly transmit studies through PACS for interpretation. The role involves venipuncture and IV contrast administration for CT examinations in accordance with department policies, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and collaborating with clinical staff to respond quickly to urgent or emergent situations. You will maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and radiology information system, including procedure details, implant or device history, contrast usage, and radiation dose data. You will also support ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, including regular equipment checks, protocol optimization, image quality audits, and documentation of incidents or variances.
