The Analysis and Business Solutions team is looking for a candidate to join it as a Senior Actuarial Advisor. Are you interested in working on various exciting projects in close collaboration with Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Sales and Business Development in a motivating environment in which we focus on developing our people? Then you may be the one we are looking for! As a Senior Actuarial Advisor for the Analysis and Business Solutions team, more specifically, you will be required to:Provide actuarial expertise to various internal stakeholders, such as Marketing, Claims, Sales, Underwriting, etc., by advising them to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiativesPerform analyzes of various sources of data to prepare an action plan to address business issues of average to high complexityLead complex mandates by diagnosing the issue and advising on potential solutionsCoordinate the update or development of tools, reports, projection models, databases, systems and products, following up as neededCommunicate assumptions and results of your analyses effectively to various internal stakeholders and managementRepresent the actuarial department on decision-making committees or in meetingsCoach more junior members of the teamWhat we offer*Competitive salary and annual bonus4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first yearDefined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirementGroup insurance including telemedicineReimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment* What you bring to the table Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or in a related fieldA minimum of six years of relevant P&C insurance experiencePlease note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be consideredSuccessful completion of at least three CAS examsKnowledge of French is required for positions in QuebecAdvanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clientsIntermediate knowledge of P&C Insurance knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, RInterpersonal Savvy, Strategic mindset#LI-HybridTrade Union (If applicable)
