We’re working with a Dudley-based company who are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established engineering team of around 10 people. The role focuses on the design and development of enclosures for switchboards, supporting production and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design mechanical enclosures for switchboards using AutoCAD
* Produce accurate technical drawings for manufacture
* Support programming activities using Radan
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
* Modify and update existing designs in line with customer specifications
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the design function
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Experience using Radan (or similar sheet metal programming software)
* Background in switchboard enclosure design or sheet metal enclosure design would be advantageous
* Ability to work collaboratively within a small engineering team environment...
