POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Le Cherbourg, managed by Cogir, offers a friendly and stimulating work environment. We have a dedicated and caring team for our seniors.
In compliance with health and safety regulations, the Heavy Maintenance Worker is responsible for the cleanliness and disinfection of workspaces and common areas of the residence. They are also responsible for managing the residence's waste and recycling. To perform their duties, they may be required to lift heavy loads or drive an all-terrain vehicle. We are currently seeking a Heavy Maintenance Worker for a full-time, weekday day shift position.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All other related tasks
• Carry out the maintenance of the premises in accordance to a regular reocurring schedule or as required
• Clean entryways and common areas
• Cleaning and performing floor maintenance duties in the common areas
• Cleaning and performing maintenance duties
• Clear and salt the entrances
• Keep the work environment clean
• Maintain and clean the premises
• Maintenance and cleaning of the lobby and corridors
• Sweep and clean the floors of the corridors, common areas and workstations of the building
• Taking out the trash
• Wash windows at main and secondary entrances

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
